About Us
Our mission at Hopewell Depot Museum is to provide a historic museum and park for the education and recreation of the community of Hopewell Junction, town of East Fishkill, and Dutchess County.
- Accurately reflect the facilities and purpose of the Hopewell Depot in its prime by collecting, preserving, and sharing of written records, photographs, oral histories, and physical artifacts.
- Additionally, provide an added tourist attraction for the town and county to attract visitors, promote local businesses, and foster Dutchess’ heritage.
- Lastly, be the southeastern gateway and visitors’ center for the William R. Steinhaus Dutchess County Rail Trail.
